Privacy

Public beta legal notice. Effective July 3, 2026.

CampQueue is built by Apps 4 That LLC (Indiana, USA). The short version: your family's summer lives on your device, and your kids aren't in it as people — only as a nickname and an age band.

Child-data-free by design

A kid in CampQueue is exactly two things: a nickname you choose ("Bug", "Moose") and an age band ("6–8"). There are no fields for legal names, birth dates, schools, addresses, or photos — on purpose. Everything you enter (kids, camps, sessions, forms status, budgets, notes) is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Nothing about your family is transmitted to us or anyone else, ever. There are no accounts and no family database that could be breached. Clearing your browser data deletes your plan; we cannot recover it, because we never had it.

What does touch the network

  • The optional AI Summer Planner. If you turn it on and ask a question, your question text (plus the retrieved knowledge cards used for grounding) is sent to our serverless endpoint and on to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the answer. The endpoint structurally rejects any request carrying other fields — kid or family data cannot be sent even by accident, and we do not store request contents server-side. The free on-device coach never makes a network call.
  • The reminder list (only if you ask for it). If you type your email into the "email me my deadline reminders" box and tick consent, we store your email address, your consent choices, and non-sensitive interest tags (that you're a parent using a summer planner) so we can send the reminders and CampQueue news you asked for. This is the parent's email only. We never collect, store, or transmit anything about your kids through it — no nicknames, no ages, no session or camp details. Our capture endpoint drops any field that isn't on a strict allowlist, so child data cannot ride along even by accident. Joining is entirely optional and separate from using the planner; every email carries one-click unsubscribe.
  • Checkout. If you buy a plan, payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's pages. We never see card numbers.
  • Fonts. Pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts, which sees standard request metadata (like your IP address) when fonts load.
  • Hosting. The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard server logs (IP, user agent) to deliver pages.

Service providers we use

DRAFT — pending attorney review. The processors below are named for transparency; the reminder-list provider is not yet finalized (see below).

  • Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.
  • Anthropic — AI provider for the optional Summer Planner (question + grounding cards only).
  • Stripe — payment processing, if you buy a plan.
  • Google Fonts — typefaces.
  • GitHub (interim reminder-list store). Until a dedicated email provider is finalized, if you opt into reminders your email and consent record are held in a private GitHub repository we control, so nothing is lost before the list goes live. This is a temporary holding step, never a public store, and it never holds anything about your children — only your email, consent choices, and non-sensitive interest tags.
  • Email service provider (to be named) — once finalized, your email and consent record move to our email/list provider so we can send what you asked for and honor unsubscribes. The specific provider will be named here before the reminder list goes fully live.

Other Apps 4 That apps

CampQueue is one of several apps made by Apps 4 That LLC. If — and only if — you tick the separate, unchecked "other Apps 4 That apps" box when you join the reminder list, we may occasionally tell you about our other apps, and we may connect your interests across A4T apps you have used and given this consent so we don't send you irrelevant things. This is off by default, is never tied to any information about your children, and you can opt out at any time with one click. If you don't tick that box, we only ever email you about CampQueue.

DRAFT — pending attorney review. The cross-app terms above are being consolidated into a single Apps 4 That Unified Privacy & Audience Policy that will govern how consent and interests are shared across A4T apps. It will be linked here from CampQueue once counsel approves it; until then, only the CampQueue-specific terms on this page apply.

Anonymous usage measurement

We count anonymous, aggregate product events (for example: a page was viewed, the app was opened, a plan screen was seen) to understand what's working. This measurement is cookieless, sets no identifiers, and never includes personal information — and it never includes anything about your children. No nickname, age band, camp, session, or budget is ever attached to any event; only non-sensitive flow flags (like whether you opted into cross-app news) are recorded.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no ad trackers, no cross-site tracking pixels, no tracking cookies. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free page and event counts only.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information.
  • No accounts, no contact lists, no location access, no camera or microphone.

Children

CampQueue is a tool for parents and guardians and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone — including the children being planned for, whose identifying details it is deliberately built without fields to hold. The optional reminder list captures a parent's email only; it is never used to collect information about a child, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

A planner, not a registrar

CampQueue never registers a camper, holds a spot, or moves money. "Registered" and "paid" chips record what you did with the camp; the real transaction happens with the camp itself. See the terms.
